He had more than twice the selection of bycicles but didn't seem interested in getting any new clients, I'll take his advise and never come to this shop, even on further vacations to Folly.
Every year we go see Matt...very easy to get along with and always has a smile..if he doesn't recognize our faces right away no biggy..because it only takes him a few mins.then he remembers...he is very fair..The Minnesota Family
Matty is great! Second time we have gone there! He seems to be a genuine person and my daughter and I love seeing him on the island! He gave us two matching pink bikes! Had to laugh at that! He is very fair and honest! Can’t ask for more than that! Thanks Matty for making our trip unique and fun. ☺️

Me & my best friends just got back from our senior trip on Folly Beach. We met some locals on the pier & asked where we could rent some beach cruisers on the island. Their response was "the one & only Matty B"...we took their advice & walked across the street to Cool Breeze Bikes. Matty B made our trip! He let us all pick out the bike we wanted & we were able to keep them for the week! Made our trip.
Don't know where the bad reviews are coming from. Matty is a great guy, respectful, kind and accommodating. His bikes are top notch, location can't be beat and his prices are a fraction of the other bike rentals on the island. Couldn't have dreamed of a better experience! Thanks Matty!!!
Haven't rented from this place, but had a rental on the first day from the other company on the island to get around for the day and rode past this place to see their selection/prices to rent for the family for the rest of the week, but as I slowly rode past barely on his store property a guy walked up from across the street yelling at me that the bike I was on was banned from that property and I needed to leave immediately.
I can only assume it was the rental shop owner from these other reviews about him smelling heavily of booze and cigarettes, but he never introduced himself and was adamant about shooing me away.
